What We Believe

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God — the infallible rule of faith and conduct (2 Timothy 3:16).

Salvation

We believe the plan of salvation is revealed in Acts 2:38, and consists of three essential experiences:

• Repentance — A genuine turning from sin toward God. Repentance is more than remorse; it is a complete change of heart and direction, surrendering your will to the lordship of Jesus Christ.
• Water Baptism — By immersion in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. Following the pattern established in the Book of Acts, we baptize in the name of Jesus Christ as the apostles did (Acts 2:38, Acts 8:16, Acts 10:48, Acts 19:5).
• The Holy Ghost — Received with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. The gift of the Holy Ghost is for every believer, and it is the power of God living within us to transform, guide, and empower our daily lives (Acts 2:4, Acts 10:46, Acts 19:6).

This is the same gospel preached by the apostles on the Day of Pentecost and throughout the New Testament church. It has never changed, and it still transforms lives today.
